Child Care Costs & Tuition
At Next Kids, we are committed to providing high‑quality, licensed childcare that supports families and helps children thrive. We understand that cost is an important factor when choosing a childcare provider, and we want to make tuition and fees easy to understand and plan for.
How Tuition Works
Childcare costs at Next Kids depend on the type of program (full‑day daycare vs. out‑of‑school care), your child’s age, and your selected schedule (full‑time or part‑time). We strive to keep our fees transparent and fair while delivering a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for your child.
What’s Included in Your Tuition
Your childcare tuition with Next Kids typically includes:
-
Licensed, professional educators
-
Development‑focused activities and programming
-
Safe and engaging learning environments
-
Daily schedules that support growth and play
-
Support for school‑aged children’s homework, social skills, and after‑school activity
(Individual program inclusions may vary slightly by location.)
Alberta Child Care Affordability Support
Alberta now offers a flat parent fee structure for licensed daycare programs, which helps make childcare more affordable across the province:
-
Full‑time licensed daycare (up to kindergarten age): ~$326.25/month or roughly $15 per day
-
Part‑time licensed daycare: ~$230/month
(These are provincial affordability fees established by Alberta’s funding program starting in 2025.)
These flat parent fees apply to eligible licensed childcare programs and are designed to reduce financial barriers for families. Next Kids supports families in accessing these provincial childcare affordability programs.
Please note that out‑of‑school care (before and after school) fees may differ since provincial affordability funding does not apply to school‑aged care in the same way as full‑day daycare. Families are encouraged to inquire directly with their chosen Next Kids centre for specific rates and options.
Financial Assistance & Subsidies
In addition to Alberta’s fee structure, eligible families may apply for child care subsidy or other financial support through the Government of Alberta, which can help reduce the cost of licensed child care even further. Learn more about subsidy options on our Child Care Subsidy page or through Alberta’s provincial services.
